The hypromellose is a kind of non-ionic cellulose ether, which is made from cellulose, a natural polymer material (cotton) , through a series of chemical processing. It is an odorless, tasteless white powder, swelling in cold water into a clear or slightly cloudy colloid solution. It has the characteristics of thickening, adhesion, dispersion, emulsification, film forming, suspension, adsorption, gel, surface activity, water retention and colloid protection. The hypromellose is mainly used in building materials, coating industry, synthetic resin, ceramic industry, medicine, food, textile, agriculture, daily chemical industry and so on.
